Admitting the Possibilities of Error beside the tree that Horace Darwin planted
Fri 5 June, 2015Free
Artist, Kirsten Lavers creates meditative drawings that evoke many associations including tree rings and the process of evolution. With kind permission of Murray Edwards College, Kirsten will be drawing all day beside a Persian Ironwood tree which is believed to have been planted by Horace Darwin (Charles Darwin’s son) during the time that he lived at Orchard House on Huntingdon Rd, Cambridge (where Murray Edwards College is now situated).
This wonderful garden holds many treasures and is well worth a visit. Kirsten welcomes conversation and invites viewers to bring a pen or pencil with them for her to use ~ what one colour would you use to draw a tree?
