Perfect for ‘pick-your-own’ brides or those helping with wedding preparations — we will demonstrate the techniques involved in making a buttonhole, or boutonniere — from choosing the best flowers and foliage to taping and wiring the stems so that the buttonhole stays fresh all day. Forget tired and cliched rose and carnation buttonholes, our buttonholes include grasses, herbs, gorgeous flowers, seed heads and all sorts of unusual goodies to really make the chaps look fabulous on the day. The technique can also be transferred to making corsages.
You will get to run wild on our flower plot and pick just the right materials to make your own, unique design.
Refreshments and picnic area provided.
Although we are holding this workshop in May, it’s still worth bringing warm clothing just in case, as our shed can be quite cool.
