Enjoy two hours of reflection, observation and creativity in a beautiful garden.
Participants will be asked to contemplate, draw and collage their ideas and thoughts about the importance and benefits of quiet, mostly with a focus on the collective needs of many. For example: why, how and where any community anywhere might benefit from quiet. This might be in relation to participants’ immediate neighbourhood, or communities elsewhere.
This workshop is an opportunity to combine drawing and collage experiments with observation of a delightful garden while contemplating the theme. The hope is also that all will gain a sense of confidence from using practical skills to try new ideas, and a sense of accomplishment having made something from scratch in a limited amount of time.
Under 18’s + vulnerable adults must be accompanied + supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Ideal for 7 years plus + beginners. Arrive 3.45pm for 4pm start, latecomers can’t be accommodated. Free event, first come first served, up to 15 participants. Art materials provided – wash hands well after use and bring a smock.
No food, drinks, phones, cameras, gum, headphones, animals at the workshop table. An outdoor event in an uncovered and open to the public garden. Please be prepared for the weather conditions of the day and dress accordingly.
