Do Trees Talk (and if so, do they talk to bees)?
Sun 22 May, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm BST£4 – £5
Are trees the strong, silent type or is there a lot of forest chatter going on? We will be exploring the idea that trees not only communicate with one another but are also in dialogue with insects including bees. River of Flowers and BeeBristol will be presenting the documentary film ‘In the Mind of Plants’ at The Cube Cinema, Bristol.
This fascinating expose of the secret world of plants will be followed by an audience discussion with panelists from both sides of the Atlantic.
The Cube is a volunteer-run cinema experiment just off King Square that plays host to a broad public programme of film, music and performance as well as providing a platform for its community of artist-workers to experiment with their ideas. Wild Crab Apple trees provided by Honeycomb Meadow will be listening in on the conversations in the courtyard where special honey and botanical cocktails will be available on the night.
