Dry Stone Walling Workshops

Experience outside ‘hands-on’ activity of building stone walls without the use of mortar. Education and Training at the London school of Dry Stone Walling.
These workshops run by professional registered waller, John Holt, are a practical introduction to the heritage and the craft of building walls using natural stone without mortar.
At the end of the workshops you will understand DSW heritage and terminology used, and distinguish various stone shapes and their uses.
We provide free for the workshop:- all materials, equipment, tools, eye protection, gloves, personal facilities, extensive selection of descriptive handouts/brochures and ‘Certificates of Participation’. Ensure you wear suitable loose fitting outdoor clothing and stout, safety footwear, bring personal nourishment and drinks as required.
All our trainers are certificated by the Dry Stone Walling Association. These practical, outdoor workshops are an inspiration for DIY enthusiasts, landscape gardeners/designers, persons looking for an interesting outdoor activity. They are suitable for all persons over the age of 16yrs
