An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until Sat 11 June, 2016
An uplifting exhibition combining art and artifact in partnership with RHS Wisley Herbarium celebrating the beauty and variety of flowers found in a typical English Country Garden. Stunning specimens from the Herbarium include a wallflower pressed by John Henslow who was Charles Darwin’s tutor. Artists exhibiting include award winning botanical illustrator Gaynor Dickeson, photographer and digital photography advocate for Sony UK, Celia Henderson and textiles artist Gill Denyer. Among other items on display is a ball gown covered with dried, pressed flowers made by exhibition curator, Gillian Collins and a stunning knitted ‘Hanging Gardens’ display made by the weekly Knit and Natter Group.
