Come and enjoy a great herb walk in the beautiful parkland, landscaped gardens and woodland gardens of Doddington Place Gardens and discover the benefits of the medicinal plants around us. You will be able to gain knowledge of herbs and trees growing in the wild, their medicinal and culinary uses, as well as some folklore. Following the walk and refreshments, you will learn how to make basic remedies with these common plants, some harvested during the walk. This event will be run by qualified Medical Herbalists (BSc (Hons)) Emma-Jane Isaac and Charm Elakil.
Children from 5 years old are welcome but a parent or carer must supervise walkers under 14 years of age. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, and bring your own drinking water. We shall be walking slowly and stopping frequently to discuss the plants and trees. We will stop after 75 minutes for tea/coffee and cake (included) and the second part will involve making remedies indoors.
Events may extend for an extra 30 minutes
