To celebrate the age-old bond between gardeners and their canine companions, the Inner Temple is holding a dog show * on the afternoon of Sunday, June 9 between 2 – 5pm. There will also be a competition for the best-decorated cake on the theme of gardening, a brain-teasing quiz for plant-lovers, some simpler guessing games and the chance to discuss your gardening problems with a team of horticultural experts.
All these activities will take place at the Inner Temple Garden, an inspiring and treasured green space in the heart of the city, which was first created in the 12th century. It has survived fire, rebellion, storm, war and the avarice of developers, and in the 21st century it embraces herbaceous borders, areas of woodland, a peony garden, pot displays and mature trees over three acres. Free entry includes all activities.
