Oasis garden trail
Sat 23 May, 2015 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm BST
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, repeating until Sat 6 June, 2015
Oasis is one of London’s longest-standing and best-loved examples of horticultural people power. Residents began transforming a patch of derelict land in 1973. Now there are three separate spaces enriching the lives of local children; an adventure playground, a go-kart track and the original nature garden, which plays host to our Stories of Stockwell Festival.
Come and follow our garden trails, through this secret paradise amid the concrete. See how the pond and veg patch, woods and meadow have inspired local residents, gardeners and artists as we celebrate the history of our community.
Saturday 23rd May: Gardening in small spaces workshop + nature trails for adults and children.
Saturday 6th June: Planting a community garden workshop + nature trails for adults and children.
