Open Orchard Poetry Tour
Sat 11 June, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm BSTFree
Join the Open Orchard Project and Poetry Slabs for a walking tour of some of the mini-orchards planted in West Norwood over the last two years. Discover the power of bringing communities together through the planting of fruit trees and through the poetrification of the public realm. Along the way there will be local history, poetry readings, a little art, and some history – everyone can participate.
We’ll start the walk at West Norwood railway station at 10am and return there at the end of the walk at approximately 1200. Meeting point is outside the front of the main entrance.
Please email us to reserve your place (places are free): email@example.com
The Open Orchard project has planted 140 trees in 16 orchards in and around West Norwood and is run by the community. @OpenOrchardProj
Poetry Slabs develops installations of published poetry that are displayed on surfaces readily visible to the public. We’ll see their first installation in West Norwood @PoetrySlabs
