Planting and no-dig course
Thu 25 May, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm BST£35
Following on from Charles Dowding’s ‘no-dig’ talk, Bek shares her own no-dig techniques in relation to growing flowers. We’ve been fans of the no-dig approach for many years, and have found that more and more people are interested whether it’s because they are short of time, have a bad back or just want better crops.
For those unfamiliar with no-dig gardening, it is both wonderfully simple (for the gardener) and fascinatingly complex — the key is having faith in nature and knowing when to leave things alone. As well as not digging and disturbing the soil, key factors include using compost, manure, cardboard or fabric to cover the soil and suppress weeds by starving them of light.
If you want better crops of flowers or veg, and healthier soil, this is the workshop for you.
Although we are holding this workshop in May, it’s still worth bringing warm clothing just in case, as our shed can be quite cool and their can still be a nip in the air outside.
