Sculpting a Garden of Eden Wall Plaque Workshop at Bristol Botanic Garden
Sat 28 May, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm BST£60
Peter Garrard returns by popular request to lead another one day workshop this time producing a Garden of Eden wall plaque to enhance your garden
He will guide you through the process of working with slabs of clay, making stencils, using coloured slips, underglaze colours and mark-making equipment, providing regular demonstrations through the day to guide you through the different stages of each task. Your work will be made with white clay and fired to earthenware at Peter’s studio ready for collection from the Botanic Garden four weeks after the workshop.
Numbers are restricted to ensure plenty of support and guidance. Peter will provide all materials and tools necessary and a range of examples of his own ceramics to inspire you. Please wear comfortable old clothing. The Devers Room Refreshments in the main house will be open for sandwiches, cake etc.
(If you missed out on last year’s green man mask making and would prefer to do this then please book a place on this course and contact us to let us know this as soon as you have booked. Your mask will be made of crank clay and fired to stoneware making it frost proof.)
