Stories of Stockwell
Sat 16 May, 2015 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm BST
Oasis is one of London’s longest-standing and best-loved examples of horticultural people power. Residents began transforming a patch of derelict land in 1973. Now there are three separate spaces enriching the lives of local children; an adventure playground, a go-kart track and the original nature garden, which plays host to our Stories of Stockwell Festival.
Come and join local residents, gardeners and artists as we celebrate the history of our community. The festival opens with a day-long family event. There will be bird box and seed bomb making workshops, live storytelling sessions, story trails showing the history of our lovely space and the engaging visitors in garden tales.
Oasis Nature Garden is a secret paradise of pond and veg patch, woods and meadow, hidden amid the concrete of Stockwell. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We will also be open for the festival on Saturday 23rd May and 6th June, and holding cinema nights on Wed 20th May and 3rd June. For more information about what’s on when, visit here.
