The Edible Bus Stop: Thinking Inside the Box – Tiny Parks at St James’s Park Tube Station
Sat 3 June, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm BSTFree
The Chelsea Fringe calls for events that think outside the box. This year we’ve turned that on its head and thought about what’s inside the box?
It’s not often you see a tiny tropical garden in a former ticket office window at a London tube station, or in fact ever, up until now. But then, we at the Edible Bus Stop Studio do love coming up with a first. Biophilia and green infrastructure need know no boundaries as far as we’re concerned.
So if discovering our Tiny Parks at St James’s Park tube stations former ticket office wasn’t exciting enough, for one day only, as part of the Chelsea Fringe Festival, we’ll take small groups ‘backstage’ into the ticket office and explain how the units work. And you get to meet us. Actually in the flesh. Yup, it’s almost overwhelming, isn’t it? Plant lovers, fresh thinkers, curious types and tube geeks, this, this is your nirvana.
Timeslots run from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm every half hour. There is limited availability as only very small groups can enter, so it’s a pretty exclusive happening.
As per Transport for London’s (TfL) requirements we need a confirmed list of visitors in advance. Once you have bagged your Eventbrite ticket, please write to us with your name and to confirm your preferred time slot: email@example.com. And please bring photo ID on the day, as verification.
No need to wear a hard hat, hi-vis vest or even steel toes, unless the fancy takes you. We look forward to meeting you on the day, and until then, whistle this! #TinyPark #ChelseaFringe #TubeGarden #EdibleBusStop #Biophilia
