An event every day that begins at 11:00 am, repeating until Sun 27 May, 2018
‘An Elixir of Letters’ created by 15 of the UK’s foremost letter carvers displayed in the verdant surroundings of Chelsea Physic Garden.
In ‘Journey of an Apprentice’, artist Tom Sargeant talks to exhibition curator Karoline Newman about how carving is in his DNA, the tradition of letter carving, and the invaluable support provided by Lettering Arts Trust apprenticeships, which enable fledgling artists to flourish.
‘An Elixir of Letters’ runs from May. Please note the talks and tours are free, though normal entry to the garden applies. More details here
The Lettering Arts Trust is a charitable trust based in Suffolk. Established in 1988, it has been supporting the art of lettering for 30 years.
The exhibition occupies spaces throughout Chelsea Physic Garden from May 2018.
