The man who planted trees
Sat 30 May, 2015 @ 9:30 pm - 10:30 pm BST€10
A parable about the relationship man-nature, an exemplary story telling how “men could be as effective as God in domains other than destruction” (J.G.)
“The man who planted trees” is a play by Plantago Associazione Culturale, who, through their theatrical point of view, follow Giono’s short story: notes of a journey across the Lower Alps in Provence; the meeting with Elzèard Bouffier; the story of his life between two world wars, up until his death. It actually becomes an oral speech, an exemplary one; a monologue. Few counterpoints, as well as few props, mark the periods and the stages of the journey. Through the theatre, the quintessential trait of Giono’s short story is brought on stage, thus spreading a positive message about the human behaviour and our great potential.
Tickets: 10,00 € for adults; 5,00 € for kids up to 16 years old. Booking required (firstname.lastname@example.org).
