These Shoes are made for planting
Thu 1 June, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm BSTFree
These Shoes Are Made for Planting… and that’s just what we’ll do – one of these days these shoes are going to grow some food for you!
On the “fringes” of The Wilton Estate come and have some fun planting up shoes to take away with seeds or seedlings. We will help you choose and plant an old shoe/boot, or possibly a sandal with some jiggery pokery planting. Bring your favourite old shoes, too old for walking but definitely not too old for planting. We can even show you how to hang them on a wall once planted.
On the day there will be some fun games to join in with, crafts to complete and a raffle! What more could you want from a fun day out in the half term.
Wilton Estate is in the heart of the E8 London Fields area, close to the famous Lido, and right opposite the very famous Violet bakery run by the delectable Clair Patak – so once you have worn yourself out planting, crafting and gaming you can step over the road for a delicious cup of tea and cupcake.
