Walking with The Wasteland
Wed 25 May, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm BST
We are delighted to take part in this years Chelsea Fringe Festival. Walking with The Wasteland is a part of the Turner Contemporary Research group which is developing its major Spring 2018 exhibition. This is a community based research group and we are always delighted to have new contributions and ideas. For more about the research group please click HERE .
For this event, we will be walking the gardens of Margate, including the beach and public spaces. The walk takes its inspiration from TS Eliot’s poem ” Burnt Norton” where he uses descriptions of gardens to explore time as an abstract principle and to illustrate our enslavement to time. If you enjoy walking and poetry or maybe fancy exploring Margate with a friendly group, please take some time out and join us to enjoy a contemplative walk by the seaside in Kent.
