Fancy ‘messing about on the river’ as part of Chelsea Fringe 2019?
Calling anybody who has access to a river craft – from paddle boards to paddle steamers – to decorate their craft with a horticultural theme – flowers/fruit/vegetables……. anything goes – even swimming! It does not need to mean spending a lot on formal displays, unless of course you want to.
Boats will gather along the Mill Meadow moorings at 2pm with a chance to decorate and prepare for a short parade along this historic and beautiful stretch of the River Thames at Henley before re-mooring for music and a picnic.
There is no entry fee to the event but craft need to be registered so sign up with Victoria Newton here or call her on 07780607738.
This will be a fabulous spectacle of all sorts of craft displaying all manner of floral ideas! Even if you don’t have a boat please come down to Mill Meadows to view the flotilla. Bring your own picnic to enjoy on the river or riverbank.
Refreshments are available to buy on the Meadows if you haven’t packed your own!
