You are invited on a collaborative walk with Thread and Word for the Chelsea Fringe 2019
We will be taking flags on a processional circular walk – see here from Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park, across Albert Bridge along the river and across Chelsea bridge, ending back at Pump House Gallery. This walk will take about one hour and 30 minutes and will be on flat terrain.
To prepare for this walk during March and April we will be making flags with the volunteers at The Work and Play Scrapstore based in Tooting. There will also be the opportunity to make flowers from rescued materials during the Scrapstore Hazelfest event on 19th May. Please contact the Scrapstore if you’d like to participate in the making!
This circular walk will offer the opportunity for participants to consider our relationship with the environment, through poetry readings from the ecopoetics archive and a meditative knotting of ropes.
